Working out post-surgury

OK guys. Its been a while since i have been on here so i'll start by giving you guys an update on what all has happened to me in the past year. This time last year i was in the best shape of my life (5'9 174lbs. ripped) and my workout were going fine. In march i planned in starting my cycle, but that was delayed after getting injured in an arm bar during BJJ classes. To make a long story short i tore my tendions in my elbow and after receiving 3 cortizone shots i had surgury on August 17th. Right now i'm in the middle of doing my "rehab" type exercises and i WILL NOT be able to lift until the beginning of December. My question is have any of you guys had a surgury (like mine) and returned to the gym. I know my stength and stamina will be non-existant to say the least, but how should i approach my re-entry into training. I do not want to re-injure myself since it kept me from training for the past 8 months already. Oh yeah....I still have a nice cycle in my safe i CAN'T wait to use, but i will make sure my arm and body are ready for it before i start. I'm thinking April or May for that.
