you should substitute the prtein bars for shakes it absorbs fast and gets into your system quicker. any protein is good if is about 50grms a serving and low in fat cal. you want some bulk but not fat eat right lots of meat chicken preferably, tuna, egg whites, the basics don't forget your vegetables they are one thing to aid in muscle growth (vitamins and minerals) creatine is good if you want real gains and no water weight try creatine titrate i swear by it its great for lean muscle mass and no bloating and it gives you a lot of energy do the glucose thing it works great.
just train hard, protein, and eat right the right nutrition goes a long way. i used to be a hard gainer and i ate right eggs chicken tuna meat pasta everything a lot of protein about 300-400 grams a day and i gained 60 pounds in 6 months cause of nutrition so just work hard and keep a good diet and you'll be fine just takes time patience is the name of the game in bodybuilding
