I was wondering what, when, and how often some of you Mastedons do calves. I am 6'3 280. I have 18 inch calves, but compared to my thighs and the rest of my body they look small. What routines and when do you throw them in. /t\
I train calfs twice a week, 8 sets total for the week. Take a weight you can rep out 20 - 25 times and then bang out 75 - 100, you'll feel like crying and screaming, if nyou need a break have 1 only long enough for 1 or 2 deep breaths. Do this for a month and then return to low rep super heavy training for a month.
All you do now is watch your calfs explode with new growth. Oh, make sure to really give them a good stretch every day too.
It dosn't really matter so long as you choose a different exercise each calf workout, I like to do seated first then standing later in week or 45* leg press calf raises and donkys.
