I do incline only, both DB and BB. Works great for developing the upper chest. If you want to do both flat and incline switch it around from week to week. Do BB one week then DB the next and so on. Just my opinion. Hope this helps.

i swap it about for both flat and incline. If im doing a pre-exhaust though i will use barbells.

Don't do decline, i get far better results from weighted dips on chest.

Re: DUMBELL OR BARBELL FOR CHEST????

you should alternate every two weeks. If you do dumbells constantly your muscles will get used to the same exercise. Switch it up, I guess you could say it shocks the muscles. You will get alot better results.

dumbell by far if your anything like me,the barbell hurts my shoulders but i do hit the bb about twice a month "note" only on incline, also i always thought you get a better range of motion on the dumbells.

If you are building explosive power, stick to the bars...

If you desire quality muscle use the DB's with full range of motion.

Yes there are other factors that come in on this question, but I was just trowin the basic out there

I agree with Ozzy with the fact that Dips are more effective then Decline. But as far as either barbell or dumbbell, I use both but I concentrate more on the dumbbells.

The Barbell used to hurt my shoulders as well, I started to change things up a bit....adding in more shoulder routines ( military press ) and the pain when doing bench press with barbells eventualy went away.
