Right pec help

My right pec has been torn for months now, and it hasn't healed yet. I actually stopped working out for a week altogether and it felt better, but then it acted up when I resumed working out. I also tried doing very low weight for high amount of reps instead of high weight low reps, and that seemed to work, but after a while I went back to normal, because I didn't want to lose too much strength. I guess my biggest fear is that while I "recover" from the torn pec I'll lose a lot of strength. Hard earned strength. Since you people are experts , what is your advice?

My advice...let it totally rest and make sure it is healed!!! You muscle is already weak in that spot, if you push it, you could do further damage and never have the strength.

I felt a pop in my right peck one day...it was the bad kind of pain..but being stupid..the next week, I went into the gym and worked chest...pop again..except worse this time. SO I wait 10 days...did the same thing AGAIN! Finally I let it get the rest it needed and has not bothered me since.

id go 2 a doc....just 2 make sure it's not 2 serious....but, if u don't let it heal, ur gona do more damage in the long run

muscle memory is a great thing....so if u do have 2 take a month off, u'll get it back in a few weeks
good luck bud

And you might consider me a newbie at working out cause i've only been at it for 1 1/2-2 years. The reason why my right pec tendon is so fuxed is that when I started working out, I used to bench press 5 days a week!! What an idiot i was. Then I went to 4 days/week, then 3, then I realized that 2 days a week max was all I needed. But by that time the damage was done and I guess I never healed completely. But once I do heal, THIS TIME I'M DOIN' IT RIGHT BABY!!! yeah.

dammmmmmmn!! 5 days a week how did u stand the pain! when i started out about a few years ago i done biceps 3 days in a row thinking i was tuff stuff. my tendons were sore for about 2 weeks i couldn't move my arms properly. just give it some time best thing! also get into it with a little less weight at still the lower reps. say u were benching 250, drop down to about 150 or so and make sure it feels ok, then start adding the weight back on every few chest days. it may take a few weeks but from my experience it helps strengthen it back up! hope everything goes well man!
