Gaining mass

Does anyone have any tips for mass gaining(naturally of course). Cannot seem to eat enough for weight gain. Which means no muscle growth. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.

not sure how much knowledge you have, but if its not past the basics, remeber the more often you eat the better, every 2-3 horus try to eat some protien, even when u wake up in the middle of the night for whatever reason, be happy because you just got a chance to consume more protien, go down some slices of lunch meat and a shake then back to bed. eating I think is most important thing for weight gain, i try double dosing protien shakes, normally 22gs of protien a serving, i use 2 scoops everytime with only around 4oz of milk so its really thik and hardly anything to drink, that way u have something u can swallow in 4-5 seconds and get 44gs of protien each time plus all the essential aminos.

another thing with eating plenty of protein...also eat plenty of good complex carbs, while trying to bulk up...take in plenty of rice, whole wheat bread, pastas, etc...take some form of simple carbs for post workout recovery along with a fast absorbing proteing like a protein shake right after training and get plenty of rest....you grow when you're out of the gym not while you're training in the gym

Take in half your weight in simple carbs like oatmeal 2hrs before workout and take in your body weight after workout in simple sugars. You must take in a minimum of 1 gram of protien per lean pound of body weight.

try to eat/drink a meal 8 times a day. Keep training sessions short but intense. I heard of a freakin ecto who said he trained twice a day, he just made me shake my head like "wtf is this guy doin". I would limit training to 4 days a week for mass. These guys are right the big thing is diet, when bulking lots of protein and lots of complex carbs.

great tips above. You grow outside the gym not in it. So 3-4 days max. Also, don' t train for more than about 45 mins a time as after this cortisol levels rocket and you will be wasting your time.

Drink your whey with a pint of milk, mix protein sources so that you get a complete amino acid profile.

Eat beef, beef is great for muscle.

You could look into creatine. Used well it can help.

Drink water. and lots of it. 4-5 litres a day. You will piss like a donkey all day but it will pile on the pounds and will help your body digest the food you intake.

Eat junk, yeah, junk. If your trying to put on mass and you find it difficult to get the cals then eat some junk. Better getting them from somewhere than not at all.

I agree with Ozzy, beef is great for gaining mass. Grill up your own beef burgers at home. I use extra lean ground beef, but you can get away with lean.

For bulking do you think the carb/protien ratio should be about 50/50? I've heard and tried taking in more carbs than protien but all I really notice when I do that is fat gain and not much muscle gain. I know you will gain fat when bulking, just want to keep it low. What is your opinion?

I would not eat more carbs per lb of body weight than i would protein.

The key to diet is variation. The more the better. Eating lots of fruit and veg is imperative IMO to help keep good nutirent balance.

Complex carbs for high energy stocks and plenty of protein for muscle building.

Remember that at this point fat is your friend. lol. Trying to watch your intake whilst bulking just doesn't work IMO.
