deep vs reg squats

deep vs reg squats

to really blow up the thighs do you have to ge real deep in the squat? or is level with the floor ok?

i like to just about hit my ass on my heels and man my legs respond to that...my friends in the gym can't believe i've never had any knee problems from going that deep, but i love it

as a tall guy i cannot always deep squat.... i hurt my back and went to the emergency room twice already lol.... so i only go deep for my warm ups..... then its level and back straight for me..

Squats ....

Depending upon your build - I would suggest placing a 10lb plate under the heel of each foot (to keep the weight evenly spread & centred over your body - avoiding leaning ahead), and squat NO DEEPER than 90 degrees. Beyong 90 and you are asking for knee trouble - plus, this is your maximal strength position, too.
