cherri-picker rows:
over-hand barbell rows at 45 degree angle

..going heavier and take more rest b/t sets

i had a hard time of it but i found narrow reverse grip pulldowns work verry well and a plus is you can get verry strong with the movement i use 230 for 10 right now and it really seems to bring out the lower lat so the v really comes out rows are mostley for thickness but some are better at width than others one arm rows with a good streach and cable rows come to mind and something i never see anyone doing anymore dumbell pullovers but width dosnt happen over night it takes a while to come out

those are 2 great suggestions also...i forgot about narrow rev. pulldowns,

..those rows did it for me(upper part of V), off-coarse like you said over time is the only way, they are good for thickness---whos wants to go around looking like a flying-squirrel..????
