Even someone who's good with calipers will be somewhat inconsistent (hitting the exact same spot and grabbing the same amount).
Water weighing is the most accurate, but only few hospitals have it and it's very expensive. And, there's inconsistencies with this process - the amount you exhale. Right before they dunk you, you're to exhale completely - how many people do this right before you get submerged completely into water?!?!
I use a method that a fellow created that uses ultrasound. It consistently measures fat at specific locations - it can actually measure thickness of skin, fat, muscle or bone! He created a computer program that quickly analyzes LBM and BF %'s He used to check 14 sites on the body but over the years has learned/evolved to only 2 sites are necessary for accuracy.
