Amphetamine and AAS

Hello Everyone.

While in the Gym last week, a friend of mine reccomended ADHD medication for cutting. Now, he is a non AAS type.

Now, my first reaction to the suggestion of any drug is research. Like most, I respect the body I've built, and I enjoy the health I've worked hard to maintain.

I can find very little on ADHD meds and their use as a cutting tool, while cycling or just working out. From what I have found, they can be somewhat catabolic.

As I am not cycling again until June, I decided to try ingesting 2 20Mg of Adderall and see how it felt with a light cardio workout, followed by some free weights.

I felt a strong euphoria about 90 minutes after ingestion, followed by rapid heart rate. Maybe this is what causes the supposed weight loss? My appetite was gone for the duration of the day.

The workout was interesting. Cardio was easier. I seemed to recover much faster and enjoyed the 2 mile run. Weight training was fun, yet i seemed to tire faster, and higher reps seemed a bit more taxing than usual.

So, my question to the community is a broad one. How would this drug work during a cutting cycle? Is there any benefit for weight loss, assuming a proper diet is maintained? What about usage during a bulking cycle? Again, assuming you could force meals when the appetite is stifled?

well when taking from time to time adderall is like taking meth and will cut your appetite. if taking daily your body gets used to it and you will be able to eat reguarlly. i personally don't like taking adderall and going to the gym. i don't like the rapid heartbeat. if you are looking for something to amp you up then try no-xplod. drink it an hour before you go to the gym and you will be more focused on working out.

Adderall works very well if not abused. I'm a powerlifter so during heavy training days it gives a big lift, at age 50 that this was something I talked to my Dr. about. Now for you younger guys, I don't think it would be something to use. Yes you will feel good and you don't want to eat, but over the long hall you could be looking at trouble down the road with your health. I use it for ADHD and sleep apnea, It also isn't something I use everyday. Plus I'm under the care of a Dr. So please be careful.

But is it catabolic?

and would it hinder gains while on AAS? (Speaking strictly from a cutting standpoint?)
