Stick an 18 or 20 guage needle through the rubber stopper. Be sure the tip of the needle is above the liquid and not in it. pre-heat your oven to 250 and stick the vial in for 10 minutes. Remove it, let it cool and do it again. Later
the filter removes "dirt" and "floating things" that may cause infection. the heat, kills bacteria, germs that will cause infection. some people do both. i used to do both.

the melting point of all gear is way lower than the temp we heat gear at. but the molucule is surrounded by oil. this gives it a higher melting point. if the oil in loeffler is the same as say, toe, or brovel, just follow the same procedure.
