How long does an international package usually stay in customs? And if the package does happen to get seized, do they list that under the tracking numbers?

I've had a package take over 7 months to show after it was shipped (sitting in customs)!!! The tracking number will not show it as being seized, if that is the case...Just have to wait it out and hope either the package or the seizure letter comes soon.....
