Got Flooded!!!

Bro's, Sorry I haven't been around as much but last Sunday I came back from the gym and found my house was raining. A water pipe had busted in my upstairs bathroom and flooded my whole room and my whole downstairs. I walked in to 1.5 inches of water and counting. It was coming out of every light fixture in my ceiling and had collapsed it in some places. All my electronics downstairs are fried (computers, TV's, kitchen appliances, DVD, DVR, surround sound, even got my leather couches and recliners) . The good news is I have insurance and they are paying for everything. Some more good news is that now I get to remodel my house while insurance pays for 3/4 of it. So in the long run i'll be alot better off but for the next few weeks it really sucks. I'm staying in a hotel right now and should be able to move back in next mon. Anyway, jus wanted to give ya'll a shout and let ya know what's goins on wit me. Oh and FYI don't keep any electronics on the ground anymore. Always put some kind of buffer zone between it and the floor pref. 2 inches

I bet that really put a damper on things! (pardon the pun)

As rAJ said, good to hear the insurance is covering it but what a mess to have to clean up, so is the insurance paying for all your water logged & now ruined protein powder & supplements that are no good now too

Hope the re-model goes well bro.

Sorry to hear about the flood, bro. But, sounds like it is all going to work out. What a pain in the ass to deal with though...

Man that sucks i just had my water tank go but it wasn't as bad as you had it,but my carpets in the basement was garbage, and wall unit they have to do a test on the dry wall for mold.Lucky most of my stuff was on a shelfs, but its true you need a buffer zone of 2 inches for the water, hope you get back in your house soon.
