Rehab Knees

Good to be back on board, back in the gym training. I will never be able to work legs the way I use to. I am 48 and had both knee joints replaced. However I still love to train and do all I can. My legs are comming back very well, I have also been walking 3.5 miles a week up hill 4 times a week. Lost 34lbs in eight weeks. I have not done a cycle in several years. Any way I am just glad to be back.

It's great to have you back & it sounds like you're making great progress. Keep up the good work & keep us informed on how things are going. My only advice is take it easy on those knees :)

I know how you feel kinda....I blew my knee out and it feels like a baby....first you crawl then you walk then you can run.....big thing about my knee is that I had to baby it for a while but I rehabed it right and now it's the stronger than before.

I know what you mean, bro. I'm 43 and I've had 4 knee operations already (3 to the left, 1 to the right). It's been a year since my last operation and I had done any serious leg training yet. One thing is for sure, my doctor told me that squats are out of the question from now on. Actually, I was told this in 1994 as well but I began getting deeper into powerlifting in 1996 and pushing myself harder in the gym. But this time, I'm taking the doctor's advise.

Good luck with your rehab, bro. I can tell you that I had alot of shit happen during my time off from work because of those injuries (i.e., calves swell up, blisters appeared, etc.)
