Calorie?

About how many calories do you guys take in when bulking a day?. I know it is different for everyone but I was curious to see what everyone is doing! :kickass:

|--[\\\]>--------- I never count calories but if i had to guess, i'd say 5K-6K a day....i usually start eating around 12:30 pm and eat in 1.5-2 hour windows and i don't stop until 2-3am at nite.

Is there a formula for determining about how many calories you should take in a day. I am 5'11" 218lbs. This is the first cycle I have eaten really clean and am gaining good weight steadily. Before I used to just eat like a horse but would hold a ton of water and a decent amount of fat. I am gaining a lot less weight but it is all quality this time. I used to play the scale game everyday and determine my progress by weight! bad thing to do. Now I go by the mirror and how I look. I think I am just freaking about not gaining insane weight ( mostly water) real quickly. So I am in this stage of questioning everything I do! This kind of turned into a rant sorry! How do you guys guage your progress?

i guage myself by my stength, if i'm not getting any stronger then i know to up the protein...if that doesn't work, then i look more closer at the training.

If your 220, i would start at 4000 cal divided up into 6 meals. Follow this for 10 days, if you do not gain at least a lb. up it by another 500 cal. Keep doing this until your weight goes up the stick with it. I shoot for 1 lb a week, anything over that and its alot of water for me. I can put 10lbs on in a week, i LOVE to eat, but 90% is water. Off season i try to eat a clean 5 meals and 1 what i want, like pizza etc, the rest is chicken , rice steak shakes etc... you are what you eat! Good luck

i just eat every 2 hours, make sure i get enough protien and carbs ( only 2 things i count ) i prolly get 4,000-4500 cals a day
