If your 220, i would start at 4000 cal divided up into 6 meals. Follow this for 10 days, if you do not gain at least a lb. up it by another 500 cal. Keep doing this until your weight goes up the stick with it. I shoot for 1 lb a week, anything over that and its alot of water for me. I can put 10lbs on in a week, i LOVE to eat, but 90% is water. Off season i try to eat a clean 5 meals and 1 what i want, like pizza etc, the rest is chicken , rice steak shakes etc... you are what you eat! Good luck
