Sets per bodypart?

Sets per bodypart?

I have been wondering how many sets do you guys do for large/small bodyparts? I have always done 9-12 for large and 6-9 for small. I want to change it up a little so let me see your routines! thanks guys!

I just got home from the gym and I think I did 15 just for my back which I work once a week. Out of them 12 were true hard work sets. I have been training hard for 2 3/4 years and I may overtrain, but I don't want to short myself.

Thats the dilema I am always fighting.... when you are on do you want to do a little too much or back it off.....I always tend to go a little overboard, but it feels great when on. Anyone else have any insight on the subject?

i do as many or as little as i feel i need i might do 30 sets a bodypart one day and onley 2 another

with any bodypart i work, small or large, i work around 9-12 sets, this does not include warm-up sets.

I`m the same way and some weeks I may do all sixs and the next week all twelves with reps.......

Ofcourse not everybody is the same but in general:

Total high intensity sets (+-80% of 1RM)

CHEST 6-8 sets Flat/Inclined Bench Press
BACK 8-10 sets Wide/Close Grip Pulls
SHOULDERS 4-6 sets Upright Rows
TRICEPS 4-6 sets Between Bench Dips/Triceps Extension
BICEPS 3-5 sets Straight Bar Curls
TRAPS 3 sets Shrugs w/Bar or Bumbbells
QUADS 8-10 sets Leg Press/Squats/Extensions
HAMS 3-4 sets Leg Curls/Stiff Leg Deadlifts
CALVES 3-4 sets Standing Calf Raises
ABS 1-2 sets Crunches/Leg Lifts
FOREARMS 2-4 sets Wrist/Reverse Curls
