insulin for bulking?

insulin for bulking?

just wanted to know how everyone takes their insulin in the offseason for bulking?...im planning on using it as a bridge to help keep my gains and maybe add a little fat...i have been reading some of chad nicholls theories(i know everyone says there is noway that it can work) and i was thinking about just trying it for and experiment??

Take it with your gear Buff will get heaps better results, I tink you would still get gains without gear but why not maximise your gains :)

|--[\\\\]>------- I think that if you take mod. dose of it, you wo'nt get fat....that's keeping a good diet though, not McD's everday and stuff....but if you maintain like 10-11 iu's a day should help...but that dose is not for anyone, just start low and work you way up...that is just what i do (10iu's day)

so has anyone ever tried chad nicholls insulin theory??...if so what type of carbs did you eat??...i know milos uses dextrose..but i think chad prefers fructose

im about to start slin on a cut, im goign to do only eod 10iu post workout. if I notice any trouble with the diet, i will experiment a bit, maybe try more like 6-8 iu eod, or 10 iu twice a week.

I absolutely love humalog. I usually take it post workout, immediately followed by about 5-6 grams of carbs in the form of dextrose per IU, then another 8 grams of carbs (a mix of maltodextrin in the Met-RX MRP, a couple rice or corn cakes and dextrose) per IU about an hour later when it peaks.
The reasoning for the lower initial carb intake than usually prescribed by the majority (the standard 10 grams per IU) is that within the first 15 minutes of administering humalog, is when the the onset begins and the exogenous slin levels begin to take effect and rise. Hence the amount of dietary carbs ingested at this juncture does not need to be as high as when the log peaks, which is between the 45 minute to one and a half hour post injection period.

As far as Chad Nicholls recommendations of slin use with fructose as the staple carb source, I really don't see the logic. Fructose is best used to refill liver glycogen and is poor at refilling depleted levels of muscle glycogen. Not to mention that too much ingested fructose will interfere with dietary glucose taken at the same period being stored as muscle glycogen and instead promotes a higher likelihood of the simultaneous ingestion of glucose being stored and deposited in adipose tissue.

Humalog requires a script in the US, unlike humulin R which is OTC. You can however acquire it from certain overseas diabetic websites.

Best used with an oral, injectable test with a good anabolic ... (if $$ permits GH) and slin. I prefer humalin-r which doesnt need a script. It last 6 hours so i get a bit more out of it. I just take a mass recover right after the shot. 35 g protein isloate (so no fat) and 60g sugar(malto dex) then about 30-45 min later some sweet potato with chicken cooked very lean (or more protein whey isolate and then eat another 1.5 hours later about the same meal. All the while having a carbo force on hande which has multiple carbs in it. I would love to see some of Kiwi and BigA's suggestions on how they hit it. I know kiwi just eats alot and drinks sodas??

Well for me...I use Humulin R 2x a day on workout days, and only 1 time on non-workout days...

I just take 10 iu's first thing in the morning with about 50 grams of sugar carbs (orange juice, ect) and some complex carbs (oatmeal, potatoes ,ect)...Post workout I use 10iu's again, with something like Cell Tech or a simular product with 75-100 grams or whey isolate protein...

hhahahah Mojo my way sounds so technical :)

I use 7 days week 1 morn after cardio if I do once after train I use actrapid which I think is Humulin-R, use with creatine, glutamine drink with transporters ( EAS synthevol 2 ) , after shot will eat high protein low complex carb meal and protein drink then will sip a 600ml soda over the 3 hours that the insulin stays in system for. Don't drink soda to fast as will up your natural insulin levels thus lowering blood sugar only sip :)

yeah heaps better holes closed over now :) trained legs twice I was so bloody sore as din't want go to heavy just incase split them open again so did super sets of , total leg machine and sissy squats 50 reps + each time :) sorest my legs ever been :)
