employer drug testing/ legal aspect?

employer drug testing/ legal aspect?

if an employer has a specific drug testing policy like the 9 prong recreational drug test that is in writing what they test for, could they legally test for AAS just on mere suscpicion, without changing the policy or without your knowledge / consent to test you for that? i dont think they would test for this, but its always a lingering thought in my mind, the legality of it. anyone have any leagl knowledge on the topic??

I would not worry about preemployment testing. Testing for gear cost dollars and most employers really do not care. They are merely following their risk management policy. Most organizations have an agreement with a medical facility including cost.

If they tested everyone for gear they'd spend some bucks and in todays market extra cash is not available. Hope this helps.

Employers don't test of AS, I believe only police and the like get tested for that. You'll be tested for the cannaboloids, opiates, halluc, PCP, benzodiaziprines, etc......stay away from pot and everything else is out in less then 10-14 days.

ya, bro like they said gear tests are $$$$ and it wont show up in a normal piss test cuz they dont test 4 it.

I work at a big company and they don't test for AS. I know this becuse I got tested while I was on a cycle! Came back clean as hell. You got no worries!!!

If you know the reason they are testing, it helps you understand why they don't test for steroids.
People who use recreational drugs are a liability to employers because of increased absenteeism, increased theft and lower productivity!
These aren't problems that steroid users portray, so there is no need to test for them. Plus, like everyone else said, it costs too much.

As far as the legal side... yes they do have to inform you and have your consent to test...

Nothing to worry about,I was on a pre-contest cycle of about 6 different drugs when I had to take a drug test to weld at Exxon in N.J. I passed with flying colors.The employer,I believe would have to test EVERYONE(including fat,obese people who have never touched a weight in their lives)for AAS,or Im sure they could be sued for discrimination if they singled you out for testing 'cause you were looking large..
