Just started training again on tuesday, light and quick workouts. I have read allot about muscle memory and was wondering if anyone has had a long layoff and how did everythign come back. How long before I start liftign heavy and hard and how long should I wait to start my gear?

I have heard that muscle memory may last up to 6 months or maybe a little more, depending on th person. Regardless, if you had the muscle ounce, it will be easier to get your gains back the second time around. Good Luck bro.

You'll be back to where you were within a couple of months. Just don't go crazy for a couple of weeks or you'll injure yourself.

Bro- I am in the same situation. I had an injury in my back and shoulder that kept me away for about 8 months. I hit the gym again two months ago and most of my lifts are coming back fine. Starting to put on size again, too. (Thats also because i'm two weeks into a nice winter bulk cycle.) Be patient. Just take your time. I remember I wanted to throw the weight plates on right away, but that is the last thing your body needs. Slowly build up and your body will be back in no-time.
