Tight lower back
|--[\\\]>----- Ok, this is really pissing me off. Everytime i do back, legs, arms, even while doing lateral raises, my lower back tightens up in a HUGE knot and i can barely stand up straight. I think it may have to do with me gaining weight quickly b/c everytime i get 'on' and i gain a bunch of weight, this happens...any tips for me?!

I have had a hell of a time with this same problem this cycle! I am taking a anti-inflamitory (aleve) 30 min before work out drinking water and then on back and legs day I have been heating the back with a heating pad for 20 min prior to work out and stretch like a mother!

Tight back in bodybuilders are from the high protein levels!
By taking so much protein and aminos the bodies PH level of 7 drops and becomes acidic makeing the muscles not able to uncontract because of lactate acid built up. Be taking a super cal-mag pill (calcium and magnesium) it helps to level ph level in the body.
I would take about 1000 mg of cal and 250mg of mag through out the day untill the cramping has gone!

I have had back problems for a while now. I first changed my mattress to a very firm one and that helped alot. Next i just started stretching really good with a partner prior to working out. Granted these are all simple solutions it did seem to help some. If that doesn't work you could always buy some percacets.
good luck

my back gets tight everytime i use d-bol in my cycle. Literally laying down on the floor between sets. It never hurts when i don't use d-bol. The protein ain't my problem.

I must be lucky - or very unlucky! This d-bol (first time I've ever used it believe it or not) is KICKING MY BUTT as far as cramps go. They make fina cramps seem "mild." I've gotten them EVERYWHERE. I walked into the gym today and got one in my Lat of all places. I'm all hunched over and everyone's asking me what's wrong. And I'm taking a TON of Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Taurine and a fair bit of Vit C. Extra salt in the diet has seemed top help the most - but the cramps still show up here and there!

I don't disagree with you builtbig, but as a nurse I have never heard of high protein levels affecting the bodys acid/base balance. I am glad you stated that though, it will give me something to research tomorrow. In theory, it sounds right though. Good post.

I use to have the same problems until someone suggested that I double my water intake while on, and that seemed to work for me. Although, I don't really know why.

The pain in your lower back is more than likely the result of water -retention in your abdomen. I would bet your quite bloated at the time you have these back pains (from lots of gear and carbs and maybe insulin use which will really cause water retention) - as a result water is pooling in your abdomen causing swelling and dsitention that pulss a great deal on your lower back. Probably find you ankles a little puffy also such that your socks leave an indentation on the skin. Suggedt your try dropping your carbs to release some water or take 40mg of Lasix which will make you pee water out and lasts about 2 days before the bloat comes back.
