Actually Dextrose is not just sugar. It is a sugar, but it doesnt have to be broken down like table sugar. Dextrose is instantly absorbed. You can obtain dextrose at any one of several online stores that sell raw ingredients for home beer making. Or if you wanted to use glucose, just go to the nearest pharmacy and buy some insta-glucose OTC (its for diabetics).

You can buy 11lbs of dextrose for $12 from www.supplementdirect.com or you can eat a few roles of SweetTarts for your dextrose needs.
