Lidocaine = Cocaine

Alot of people are using this now after an article in MD, just be warned that if you use Lidocaine (sp?) you WILL test positive for cocaine. Most of you probably know this already, but for those of us that get drug tested regularly it's good to know and be informed.

Cocaine and Lido are waterb soluable. They clear out of your system in 48 hours.

Thnx yardrock. I was just going to ask how long it stays in your system. The seo I've used has it. Do you think it would take longer to clear in that solution?

They do clear out in a few days, but that's all it takes to get busted. I know I get "suprise" drug tests at work and if I took a shot the night b/4, I'm screwed.

I'm not exactly sure how lidocaine would give a false positive for cocaine. They test for amphetamines and its metabolites, and lidocaine has no amphetamine in it. Could you elaborate a bit?

I believe.. since lidoCAINE and coCAINE.. are in the same family.. meaning chemical hydrochloride family.
whereas lido is C14H22N20 and coke is C17H21NO4.

this characterics would would be pick up by any test but easliy disproven with further testing. they also share anesthetic and antiarrhymic agents.
if you change any of the chemical molecule struture a new struture is formed which in turn produces a new form of the chemical.

EG: GHB... they (chemist) changed a lactose string to make GBL.. known that the body will convert these sugar into a hydrogran molecule which makes GHB.

This been going on for years just by changeing the chemical struture its no longer can be called CoCaine.or whatever
by changeing these struture you can produce much stronger or weaker forms of this drug.. guess thats why chemist makes designer drug... by the time DEA catches the wind these chemist are all ready on bigger and better thing... another example "E"

Thanks, good explanation. I know ephedra can give false amphetamine positives, and kava kava a false benzo positive.

Diablo69 is right, for further proof I just had my umbilical hernia surgery and got drug tested 2 days later and I was positive for narcotics (painkillers and ana) and cocaine (from the Lidocaine). Obviously I had waivers from the doctor, but I get the results of my test and it came up.
