Question USPS -VS- UPS

Which do you guys think is safer to get shipments from? I heard that UPS doesn't allow law enforcement agencies into there plant to inspect packages. Probably a little more expensive but beats USPS's Postal Inspectors. Plus, USPS is a government agency. UPS isn't.

When something is coming USPS from U.S to Canada it is almost always opened. Everytime I ordered something and the person sent it via USPS it never made it+)

Reason I brought this up. I heard, in another forum, that UPS helped a law enforcment agency and in the end a UPS employee ended up shot and killed. UPS won't let law enforcment into there building to inspect packages anymore. they are just doing business and dont care whats in the packages just as long as they get their money. Having said this, I dont know how much truth is in this, but why wouldn't sources start using UPS for safety?

I understand, but to go through custom, it has to come in from out of the country, right?

if your recieving from the states and your in the states and the pack is less than 16 oz's then usps priority is fine..remember anything weighing 16 oz's or more is looked at with more scrutiny than something weighing less regardless of airborne, dhl, usps, fed ex, tnt, and ups since last september ..for shipping from a mainland state to another its safe as pie..if your talking from any other country including now japan where there is some probs brewing no carrier is 100%..remember the usps can if they may use their postal inspectors for any comapny...they are federal..this oversees anything another shipping company can do..food for thought..be well..killa

STK is on the right track. Also the usps sees so much business as far as mail that they don't have the time or generally the man power to sit and scrutinize over several packages throughtout the day. As having worked for ups they generally don't have a concern with packages unless they tick or have something leaking out of them. Like the box is discolored, from a substance and even at times this wasn't a problem. However this was all before 9-11. Ups and FedX will examine things more often than the usps from what I've seen.

So the usps postal inspector can go to ups and inspect their packages also? man, that sucks. I can see where a small package wouldnt be of much concern since they are probably looking for the big shipments of drugs. hmmmmm.......maybe usps is fairly safe. Question. Of all the packages that have been confiscated, which mail service were they using? not talking about out of country, but state to state. Domestic deliveries.

here is somethging to think about if you get caught through USPS it is a federal charge US post if caught through UPS it is picked up by the state of sezuire! Not considered federal mail! I know this cause I have a friend wwho was saved when he got caught because it was UPS!

I use Fedex!!

But, I will tell you something, DO NOT use an account w/ them cause the fucking finance dept is a bunch of fucking morons. They also double charge and will fight you every step of the way. I almost flipped out today when they sent a $300 bill that they already took out money for. FUCKING ASSHOLES!!
