Big A, got another question if you don't mind. I've been on a low carb diet due to my tryglicerides being so high. If I take the glucophage must I increase the carbs? I know this stuff can give ya the shits bad. Will taking in more carbs prevent this?
I appreciate the help. I did talk to my Dr. and got a 'script. Thanks again.
for taking it post meal instead of pre-meal as with regular insulin.?? Also why does the insert say to take with last meal of the evening(this is with the time released gluco BTW)??
It depends what kind of insulin you use regarding if you take it before or after meal.
The long acting gluco is taken before bed as it helps the person release less insulin throughout the night, especially if they had a big dinner like most people do. But that doesn't apply to a healthy person. That might get a healthy person in hypo overnight.
