How to lose weight fast!!

I just had my tonsils, adnoids, and uvula (looks like that little punching bag in the back of your throat. lol) removed last Fri. The next day I had some complications with the bleeding not stopping. Lost alot of blood on that one! I went into convulsions in the ER at 3am while throwing up tons of blood that had ran down the back of my throat into my stomach. Thought they were going to have to give me a blood transfusion since I let it go that far. Instead they just gave me 3 bags of glucose solution IV. I think I lost at least 2/3 of a gallon over a 14 hour period. I kept track of all the blood in containers that I would spit up in. lol. Needless to say, I felt really sorry for the sap that had to clean up that ER room! There was blood everywhere! lol.
Anyway, after all that I COULD NOT SWALLOW OR EAT properly for the whole week. That is food and water mind you. All I could get down was chicken soup (left at room temperature. yuck!) and that was only two cans, on a good day! Any other soup I tried caused too much pain and burning.
In one weeks time, I lost 20 fucking lbs! I went from 255@12%bf to 236lbs at probably the same bf! It made me sick! I knew I lost some wt, but not having a scale at home, I never checked.
I couldn't leave my house for 7 days! Didn't have the energy to move around much or even stay awake for more than a couple hours.
Now I am getting back into the gym on mon (10 days after the surgery) and I'm sure hoping that I can gain at least half of that weight back in a short time. It is going to be a struggle since my eating is still not up to par. In the 8 days after the surgery I consumed less calories than I normally consume in one day pre surgery. I had a total of 3900 cal for those 8 days. Normally I eat 4500-5000 calories just to maintain 255lbs. Really sucks not being able to eat!
Anyway, the whole reason that I had the surgery is because the tissues in my throat had enlarged over time. It caused blockages in my throat that would litterally choke me while I was sleeping (or trying to sleep actually. lol). I never got a good nights rest in over 2 years. The doc said he could remove alot of it thru surgery but it would be painful. Tough me, not thinking it would be that bad, said go for it.
Bottom line..... I would not reccommend this to anyone! It really sucks watching all that good weight go right out the window.
But for you guys that ask how to lose bw fast.... Screw the DNP, just get this surgery done, and I GAURANTEE you'll lose more body weight than you ever could doing anything else. Other than maybe sowing your mouth shut! lol.

I forgot....

I am 31 yrs old. They say the older you get and have this done, the worse it is for recovery.
CAN I GET AN AMEN???!!! I am living proof (barely. lol) that it is a bad one to recover from!

Don't fret now bro - everything's gonna be alright. Focus on getting back to normal first.

There's a wonderful thing called "muscle memory" and I know that you'll at least recover what you had, I know - been there done that at age 39.

Also, remember that a lot of that weight was water weight most likely. You'll gain back most of it within a couple weeks. Have a good recovery.

Shit man!

Things have eventually started to get better. About 10 days after the surgery, I could finally start to eat solid food again. Now I'm going to have to train myself to be an eating machine.
the pain is still there as far as the swalowing goes and it does dry out my throat quite easily. A long recovery here after this surgery. Really sucks. At this point, I'm just hoping that I gain at least half of the weight back. Then it's starting a HEAVY gh and drug cycle for me! I wanted to come in ready for some shows in the fall, but this may delay it till the spring.
I took me a year to put on that 20 lbs that I lost to start with. I am a somewhat slow gainer, but everything that I put on is usaually quality muscle so it makes me appear much larger. Even if I put on 10 lbs, people are amazed at how much bigger I look.
Got to start hitting the weights this week too.

I'm unfortunetly in the same boat as you. About 3-4 times a year I'll get a sore throat and after 3 days my throat and uluva will swell up and block my airway when I sleep. It's so bad that I have to take prednisone for up to a week for the swelling to go down. It's hard to eat during that time since I need to take small bites, heck it's even hard to drink a protein shake with my throat is swollen like that.
