You would still be easily traceable. The sendfakemail site would have your ip addy. Freedom used to be alright for hiding your ip addy, but they've stopped their anonymous surfing service.
The best thing you can do is surf through a proxy. They are very easy to set up. Pick one in a country that is not super friendly with the US (I'd stay away from the Middle East though), such as Mexico, Russia, Phillipines, etc. After you get your proxy set up, you need to test it to make sure it really is anonymous. Many proxies will let your ip addy through. Go to
http://privacy.net/analyze to see if your real ip shows. One of the best sites for testing proxies is
http://www.stilllistener.com there is a proxy tester on there that runs several different tests.
Also to surf safely you need to turn off Java, any ActiveX shit you've got running, and all scripting. If you use Ziplip or Hushmail, you'll need to turn on Java when you use email. With Java enabled, a website can get your real ip addy even you're surfing through an anonymous proxy. There are a few more adjustments that need to be made, but I don't have the time to type them right now.
Also, if you don't already have one, get a firewall. Zonealarm is good and its free. Set it to its highest security settings. Go to
http://grc.com and do the Shields Up test and the other test offered (I forget what its called). All of your ports should be stealth. There are a few other good firewalls out there also that have a few more features. With the Freedom firewall you can configure it to alert you whenever your computer tries to send out any info you don't want sent out. It will automatically block your ip addy if for some reason your computer tries to give it out and it will block any key words you type in that you don't want out (such as name, and etc).
