glucophage and ketosis?

A buddy of mine told me that you can use glucophage to help you get into ketosis quicker. Is this statement accurate if so how is it taken? doses? Also would this help you stay in ketosis, since I sometimes come out without eating any carbs and dont what the cause it. I know others have trouble staying in keto also, so just wondering if this could help us.

don't know a damn thing about glucophage but if you're looking to stay in ketosis all day long do a search on ALA...big thread at fitnessboard too.
