All the
steroid hype you have been hearing is a result of a Sports Illustrated interview with former Astros MVP Ken Caminetti (spelling?) In the interview (which Ken agreed to on the premise that the interview was about "Life after Baseball") Ken was asked if he ever juiced. Ken stated he had and then suggested that as many as 50% of the players in the major league were on gear. Well, when the interview was published yesterday, the focus was definitely shifted from "Life after Baseball" to rampant gear use in the BIGS. All of the sports talk shows today dedicated their shows to
steroid talk. Jim Rome had some sports doctor on the show, and basically it was one big gear bashing day on talk show after talk show. Frank Thomas was the black guy (he definitely looks like he uses) who spoke out against
steroids, stating using them is cheating.
