Remember what's important today

I would just like to remind everyone to take a moment out from partying to remember those that died on September 11th, in the fight against terrorism, and in the past wars the U.S. has waged. I would also like to send my thoughts and prayers to all of our men and women that are overseas fighting for us as we speak. It is because of them that we are able to live free and we must not forget that. I'd also like to add to this that I would like to send a special thank you to the soldiers who gave it all in Vietnam only to return and be treated poorly or forgotten completely. My father served 3 tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot for the army. I would like to send my special thanks to him as well. Feel free to add your thoughts below and god bless!

my father fought in ww2 in germany. when i hear these liberal tree huggers talk about how we brought this on ourselves and we need to "understand" these people...i wanna puke. we are a super power and it is about time our enemys start to respect that. i recently saw the dipshit in charge of france say we are too aggressive and need to take different action in regards to terrorism. we lost 3000 people and they have the audacity to tell us how to act. i wonder if they thought we acted to aggressive when we rolled into europe to save their asses some 50 odd years ago. it pisses me off when europe shows distain for us and our policies when they would have been under nazi rule if it was not for the blood americans shed to liberate them. my father saw more bloodshed and carnage than any man should have to see. but, he came back home and became a doctor and a great father. but, there was not a day that went by when he did not remember the 19 and 20 year old boys that gave their all to free the world from aggressors. so next time anyone wants to show distain for the military remember this simple fact....when the shit hits the fan you will be the first in line to hide behind the military hoping for protection. i believe that everyone should go to arlington national cemetary and see the row after row of men who died protecting even those idiots rights to show their distain towards them. okay....rant is over.

We all must remember that we are one of the greatest counties in the world BECAUSE WE HAVE LESS GOVERNMENT than any other Free Nation. Compare our gross national against any other free European country, why is it so much more? Answer, because their government restricts business and enterprise MORE!

The Liberals want MORE GOVERNMENT because they think that they can provide a better life for everyone. Remember, the government DOESN'T MAKE ANY MONEY, THEY ONLY TAX PEOPLE.

Thanks BrotherThor. As a former Marine who served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and in the Somalia conflict, I appreciate you mentioning a word of thanks. We never should take for granted the freedoms we have in this country. We are very lucky indeed.

What kills me is when you see some punk ass with a nazi emblem tatooed on their arm, or some kid who won't stand for the pledge of allegiance, or an immigrant who is offended by the display of our American flag and most of all, all this 'politically right' crap.

May God continue to bless this GREAT country of ours and for all the people I just described, go live somewhere else or go to hell.
