Well, I'm what I like to call a power builder. I use a hybrid training approach that incorporates bodybuilding and p-lifting techniques. My reasons for engaging in this pursuit is, I like lifting things. That's the truth. That was/is my whole motivation. Strange, huh?

Was kind of in the family - my Dad was a non-comp BB and he took me to the gym when I was only 8-9 - couldn't lift much - LOL - but it was major inspiration - some of his gym buds were awesome, and very encouraging - then I really got serious after college and have never stopped - wish I'd gotten hardcore earlier - might have competed then - but I'll never quit. Now in a whole new chapter with gear - no limits!

BBing
I started bbing seroiusly because I was in a terrible relationship
and had low self esteem.I started seeing great results fast and caught the eye of some of the trainers at the gym and other women too.I have been lifting since high school because like everyone in here, to seek more size.I was 145 lbs when I graduated high school and now I am 230 at 5'8 about 10% bodyfat and still growing.Almost 100 lbs of mass in 10 years, not too shabby.I plan to lift till I die.

Well, we know why I got into the sport. What KEEPS me in the sport is the fact that this is what I do best, and I do it better than most. Having somebody tell me to bring up my inner back and after 2 months having them say "wow, you really improved" and I'm thinking "yeah, I know. It's what I do". Having 95% control over my body and how it looks gives a feeling that could only be beat by having your arm raised by some Pro and taking home the BIG trophy on Saturday night.

I got into it due to sports. But then I liked the reaction I got from women, so now I think that is the main reason. Its amazing what we'll do for women.

Well-in a nutshell:
-16YO.
-fucked up badly on rec drugs.
-120lbs with no muscle tone whatso ever.
-NO women in my life.
quit rec drugs at 21YO, weight has been to 220 (205 now).
Very happily married to a beautiful blonde.
Basically the obsession of BB has saved my life, replacing the
obsession of heroin, qualuudes, PCP, LSD... /;

I didn't get into bodybuilding, I'm a powerlifter. LOL. Started training when I was 13 to get better at football. Ended up that I liked powerlifting better. Twenty three years later I'm still at it. There was a short time where I tried bodybuilding and did get in damn good shape. The worst part , well kind a worse, was that chicks were all over me. Grabbing my ass and feeling me up all the time. You say what's so bad about that? I was engaged to my lovely wife.

I work for a dance radio station and constantly do broadcast from clubs. I got sick of being the smallest guy in the club so I started lifting...now its just become an addiction.

As a teenager I noticed all the broads were checking out dudes who were built, so I wanted some of that attention. Then I went into the military and fitness became a part of my lifestyle. I mainly do it now for the health benifits but the attention from the chicks dosn't hurt either.

I guess I've always been "competitive." I'm not the one that's the "life of the party" by any means - actually happy sitting in the corner watching others. I like to xcel beyond those perceived limits that I place on myself!
It almost feels weird, at 49 (though I feel like 21), walking around in shorts and a tank top and having EVERYONE stare at you - especially the ladies!
