Dieting for my girlfriend...

|--[\\\]>------ As you all know, i know my fare share about AAS, but know JACK SHIT about dieting. My girl NOT fat by any means, but would like to tighten up a bit. She runs like 3 miles a day, and does the stepper or EFX for about 20 mins as well. She does work a lot so works out about 4 x's a week. I know she does her cardio b/c she works out at the gym i manage. As for workouts, she only wants to do legs and arms..i train her on those. All she needs help on is her dieting. I told her she could keep the dairy, like skim milk, but cut all sugars and decr. the amt. of carbs she takes in...eat more stuff like chicken breats, turkey, egg whites, tuna, ...but taht is so boring for her, i need to keep her motivated. Give me list of foods she can eat w/out worring about blowing up like a balloon...keep in mind, she's not competition dieting, just simply wanting to lose some bf% and tighten up. help me guys...she is starting to lose motivation and not wanting to come to workout anymore.

Tell her to run down to the health food shop and get a free copy of BODY for LIFE (Bill Phillips). or alternativley checkout http://www.bodyforlife.com

this is guranteed to get her in shape and inspired. Trust me everyone I've shown this to have been blown-out and keen to get their body in shape.

Good luck to her and stick with it!

Hey bro, you may be asking the wrong crowd for what to eat that "tastes good." We wolf down tons of bland, no-taste shit because we like the results we get - lean and muscular.

Doesn't it go something like this: Only 2% of the people will do everything it takes to look "ripped" (bodybuilder). If I told you some recommendations and she only did 80%, she would expect 80% results, not 100%. Well, it don't work that way - doing 80% may get you 40% results.

She's either serious about losing BF or not. If she gets serious and goes low-carb for a short period of time, it'll mess w/her head and she needs to be prepared for that. This is the point where most cannot gut it out.

I STAY AWAY from Skim Milk. Sure it has no fat, but it has plenty of Lactose, which is MILK SUGAR - without that it would really taste like sh*t water!

I wish I could give you "some" recommendations, but you know all the same ones bro. She's gonna do what she feels comfortable with - that's already evident in the I don't like boring food statement.

Now just because I strive to be in the 2%, I don't belittle anyone who doesn't. She can improve her appearance and reduce bodyfat. Some people can shed fat easy (genetics - rare, usually ectos) but with most it takes work and committment.

Let's say a person works their butt off to get into the top 2% and don't make it (I have fallen "out of" that category). They'll usually make a Tremendous Transformation and be "the best they've ever been." Not a thing wrong with that!

OVERTRAINING. I know it sounds stupid. But she's running 3 miles every day, cardio, weight 4x week that calls for lots of calories!! I work with a very serious semi-pro bicycle racer (used to be pro in younger years). He still trains hard year around. He brings in 6 sandwiches to work ED and he's SKINNY.

If you're not taking in enough calories, like it sounds like she's not doing, the body will HOLD ON TO ITS FAT. This is a natural state in which it thinks you're starving it! Happens ALL THE TIME - most people use the scale to judge their results and most will lose muscle weight and keep the fat! I work with a ton of skinny ass runners that still have little "bellies" and big asses and are NOT real lean looking (high BF percentage).

This could be her problem as well - it was mine for a LOOOONG time. Doing TOO MUCH, believing that more was better (now that's frustrating)!

If she eats properly, she doesn't have to run so stinking much! I can lean up (which I'll start another post) by diet only - no or little cardio.
