But what are the syringe filters for... besides the obvious? I mean, how do you know when to use them, for specific gear?

Generally people will use them for vet gear coming out of Mexico. There is obviously no need to use them with human grade gear unless it is rebottled.

Not really. I just haven't said that in a while. He's right. For our purposes, filters are used mostly to filter the vet gear that most of us take at one time or another. Animal meds are not as sterile as meds meant for humans.
