pain killers and adding mass

i've seen a few articles at different times and one just recently about how over the counter pain killers, like ibuprofen, can somewhat inhibit the ability of adding muscle...i was wondering if anybody knew if pain killers inhibited the effectiveness of AS?...just wondering

I've heard that antibiotics can lower your anabolic levels a little too, but probly not enough to make a difference if you have your lifestyle of bodybuilding down pat though..such as diet, rest, training. I'm not sure about painkillers either but I can gaurantee that ibuprofen is probly a lifesaver for a lot of bodybuilders.

i had to do some ativan (like valium) and my gains suffered mainly because i was sleepy. i didnt get that good workout anymore. and, painkillers make it so i cannot eat. i was perscribed it when i was having a medical problem. i quit it after about 12 days. drugs like that shouldnt be taken by serious lifters, we put enough shit into our bodies already without it.
