home brewed?

i was going to re-paste the post made earlier. you bumped it though, so i assumed, you read it?

what do you mean home brewed?

make it totaly yourself? It's easy, just 2.5 ML alcohol for the "serect sauce" and use the same exact directions. You will also need to buy sterile oil, and 3 vials. all of which are easy to get. people complain about the alcohol, "it's painfull" all you do is use the cooking option as the last step, and cook some out. 2.5 ML of alcohol out of 20ML is not much.

this works. I wont pay 25 bucks for a kit. i'd rather know whats in my kits! lets face it. everyone is starting to make their own kits !

1. sterile, oil 20ML worth (i use 18ML in the kit)
2. 3 empty vials
3. 1 syringe filter
4. filter papers (which should be used in kits, NOT COFFEE filters)
5. Finaplix (a given)

then just follow the article on this site for directions.

benzyl alcohol. I personaly don't use coffee filters or any other pre-filter technique. I prefer to let the fillers settle and just filter off the clear liquid. You probably lose about a cc doing this but the time and keeping the sterile oil sterile outweigh the cc for me. I also use the hot water bath for disolving the pellets (saves time and I think it's better that crushing) Peace.

i think a person should use a's kits for a while before trying to make their own. his kits are easy and have everything you need. the home made kits hurt more, the high amount of alcohol hurts. i used to make my own as well. but if i was to make it now, i think i would use a mans kits. i think he used filter paper, that looks like coffee filters. they do make them. i dont think a's kits have store bought coffee filters. i could be wrong. anyway. all i am saying is that i have never heard of people getting fucked up from a's kits. so all newbies should start there.

"A" Kits

I've used A's kits for my last 2 batches (never made fina before). Didn't need to pre-filter and instructions for last batch do not mention pre-filtering.

As long as you don't pull from the "bottom" 2 layers with new A kit, product will be a beautiful golden brown color. If you do pull some off bottom, it won't hurt you. You'll probably get a dark brown solution that'll settle out on the bottom. Many people shake-up bottle before injecting. Others. like myself, choose not not pull the brown solution or avoid as much as possible drawing it from vial (I only had probably much less than 0.25ml of brown solution in a 50ml vial).

I really had second thoughts about playing kitchen "chemist" to make something that I was going to inject into my body \./ ! I read enough info about A's kits to put my mind at ease (either that or a LOT OF US are going to keel over soon).

IF you don't get overly excited (like your first batch) the best way to go about it, IMO, is to use a coffee filter first, and then use a whatman syringe filter. You have to be patient and let the stuff sit in the coffee filter at least overnite. Then use the syringe filter and always, always, bake it for the recommended times. I have done it both ways and always get a cleaner batch when I use a coffee filter first. Good luck and good cooking.
