you need a strong anti-biotic. most all of these infections can be killed. with antibiotics and time your body will absorb the infection.

most likely they will lance it, irrigate it and get you started on an antibiotic. They may culture it to see what micro is growing. I'd go in soon because if it looks bad they like to keep pts in for a few days to give meds IV. Don't worry about telling them what happened it's confidential, you can't get in trouble, it's the law....and u should see some of the heroin asses and arms they have to cut open...(a steroid absess is a treat)

before, u need a competant friend near to help
if u go to a doc, they will mostlikely ask what caused it and when u tell them they will use abt a 10g pin to draw it out, unless ure getting very sick to the stomach and vomiting i would try it myself, and then pound the antibiotics

A doctor is supposed to be there to help you... not there to lecture you, condemn you, or report to the world that you are using physique enhancing substances. If the doctor does not want to look out for your comfort, as in "using a 10G needle to drain the abcess" then simply find another doc with an ounce of compassion. I would never be afraid to go to my doc and ask her to help me with an abcess that I created myself. She does not recommend that I keep juicing... but she gives me honest information on how to do it responsibly. Once you find a doc like this it all goes so much smoother... I trust her totally.
