failure

i am going to switch my workout around and workout to failure for my next 5 weeks of training. any experiences that you would share on this?

I wouldn't train to failure on a regular basis, especially for 5 weeks! Maybe try it for a work-out here and there, but you risk over-training in the long run....

Training to failure is VERY hard on the muscles... if you would like me to get scientific, I will...

I only take a break on working to failure every 6 weeks or so. Other than that I take everything to its absolute breaking point. I swear by all my gains to failure.

The only thing I dont do is squats to failure when Im dieting only because Im a bit weaker and less stable and wont risk injury for it.

Im older and dont go to failure as much. I mix it up and do well, The days I do I am more sore the third day on fewer sets.
