|---[\\\\\]>-------- It was braught to my attention today via email that Bush signed some leg. that enables the Feds access to all emails w/OUT warrants (for terrorism) so i suggest those who do NOT have PGP get it. Go to: www.ipgp.com (i think that's it) and download it! It's easy to use, there is a website that is PGP for dummies (maybe s'one will post the addy) or ask s'one here who uses PGP now for advice (such as myself) once you have your PGP key, email it to me and i'll email you mine. Just trying to be safe guys...

this site has an email security section that offers a few ways to secure yourself. PGP is the best, and there will be an article added very soon that will provide a lay-mens step by step.

also on the subject of security, in option 5 of the email security section there is a link to a free download. it adds a plugin to your browser, and whenever you want to hide your IP from a messageboard, Mail server etc. just click it, and your IP changes to one very different from your own.

Tell everyone who made you start using PGP lol. Seriously everyone, PGP is FREE, it is a *MUST USE* when emailing. Email can be read easier than most think. If you need info on how to use it, go here:

Please email me on how to use it or a web addy. I downloaded it awhile back and still have not used it! The gov is doing all these feel good legs and have never done the job right anyway. INS is a prime example! Dude

Go to the link above Dude.....that should help you out. Also, if you have it downloaded and installed, the help feature built into PGP application is very good and will tell you just about everything about it.....

Dont let there advertising of secure email platforms lead you into thinking that. ALWAYS use pgp when discussing sensitive material. It is free, why not?

the fed gov is trying to see if they can have master keys to email corps like ziplip hotmail etc. then they can open anyones email. ?? i heard this, it may be bullshit, but there you have it.

there are also options on this site to hide your IP address as well. don't even let people know your area. PGP IS A MUST NOW>

if there is going to be source advertising or lists on the board that should all be encrypted too. This is an open board so I'm not sure if this would be possible, but at a couple boards I go to they have a keyring for the board and encrypt all posts discussing matters of buying or selling. It keeps the board safe and the people involved. Like I said with this being an open board I don't know if it's possible. But another option is to have a buying/selling forum where you can have all the source related posts encrypted and only approved members have the capability to see that section. Just some ideas for you guys.

I feel all that should be kept to PGP emails...most of us in here have been on other boards for awile and have a few sources already anyways...we all know ppl who know ppl who can recommend sources via email...i don't see a need for it in the open. IF the MASSturbator wants it in the open, then i agree, it should be an encrypted post using PGP.

Whether this is true or not I don't know. . . It was posted on another board that version 7 and above have a "back door" so that it can be decoded without keys. It was reccomended to use ver 6. whatever. whatever. (anthing below 7) I would tend to believe that even if there was not a back door, there will be one built in to future versions seeing how it was all over the news that Osama bin Laden used PGP. |---[\\\\\]>------- Well, i'm sure s'one out there can crack it, but there are only a handful of those ppl..that's not anything to be too concerned about....at least it's almost impossible for the other 98% of the ppl out there trying to crack it. It was braught to my attention from "Moose" taht it takes like 7 comps running simultaneously(sp) for 5 days to crack it....my #'s are off, but it's s'thing to that effect...correct me if i'm wrong "moose"

i tell you, i updated to the newest version of PGP, and everytime i use it now (encrypt/decrypt) it goes through the internet, i see a screen that connects to a server and all this... what the fuck, PGP never did that until the latest version and until the terrorist shit. are they getting a copy of each encryption?

when i updated i had the same thought. Is pgp still cool? i dont know, with the terrorists using pgp, i bet they will crack that shit quick. I remember an argument at bolex where flex said if they got your key they still couldnt read it. i dont buy that shit. the paraphrase could be cracked in minutes by the gov. if they can crack UUSR codes, they can crack ours. so if they get your key, and the people you talk to, they can read it all... i guess the best think is to check your mail alot and dont save messages, delete them right after reading, sending, and then dump the trash.
