training alone

any tips on how to effectively workout alone? my partner is moving, i dont know any other lifters. we used to spot each other. do machines work, i would be thankful for your help.

YOu gotta be self motivated. I lift w/ my girl and most people think that is nuts w/ weight I use but, if I can't do it myself I won't bother so having a girl spot me is perfect. If you need a spot usually you can find a few guys round that will help.

The only exercise I find a spotter (lift-off) helpful for is HEAVY bench - don't or can't get a lift-off for any other HEAVY exercises (except the BIG dumbells, which I don't use). By the way - I work out at home except on HEAVY bench days.

I lift by myself at my house. I prefer it this way. I had a traning partner before and he would ask me questions in the middle of my sets.lol

Partners are a luxury, not a necessity. A power rack eliminates the need for a spotter.

yea i cant train with anyone they totaly mess me up and i hate to talk while in the gym i just give a nod to the bros and keep on going and at my gym theres a clear look diference from talkers to the real bros if you can train alone like an animal i think youl be better off

Ry Roid is right. You have to be self-motivated. I'm in a fukin zone in the gym, so I don't care if I have a training partner or not. It's nice sometimes, but then again, I'm only in their competing against myself, so I just do my thing. When the weights get freaky, I just find a spotter.
